#19 Isshuukan Friends (One Week Friends)

In One Week Friends, a boy decides to friend a classmate who never seems to get close to anyone and is always alone. He soon discovers at the end of every week she loses her memory and the two start a battle to get her to remember.

One Week Friends is a cute and touching anime that made me cry, laugh, and smile. It is a sweet school anime that I would recommend to lovers of shows such as Clannad or anyone who wants a slightly sad but heart-warming show to watch. I would give it 8/10.

Weekend Waifu Ika Musume

Ika Musume is the squid girl who stars in the anime Squid Girl. She is set on taking over the world to get back at the humans for the damage they have done to the oceans. She has long blue tentacles that appear as her hair and is determined, adorable, and a little naive.

Ika Musume is my waifu because her moe is simply off the charts sometimes. She is unintentionally silly and her determination to take over the world is not well thought out and adorable.

Daily Anime #18 Squid Girl

Squid Girl is about a girl who happens to also be a squid. She vows to take over the world to avenge the oceans and ends up in a series of hilarious antics through the process.

Squid Girl was cute, ridiculous and charming in a funny way. I enjoyed almost every episode and think it is worth a watch for anyone. The art-style may take some getting used to for some people but it is pleasant for the seasoned anime-watcher. It is light and adorable, lending itself well to casual watching. I give it a 8/10 for these qualities and the cuteness of the main character.

Side Character Sunday: Clavis

Never seen without a smile, Clavis is an elevator operator that transports guests of the bar in Death Parade between floors. He seems friendly and polite but has a formal air surrounding him.

Daily Anime #17 Death Parade

At a bar that stands between heaven and hell, the bartender challenges the deceased to games in order to find out their true nature. Each game is different and pairs of the dead are asked to test their humanity to the limits to see if they deserve to be reincarnated.

Death Parade changed my view on humanity. It is one of the few anime that I can say changed and challenged how I thought about life and death. It is addictive with a killer theme song and deserves the 10/10 that I give it.

Weekend Waifu Hestia

Hestia is a goddess looking for people to join her followers or "family." So fall she only has one so she works a part-time job but she never gives up hope.

She is my waifu because she is super cute and dedicated to the member of her family. She works hard to make a better life for him with what she has and I admire that quality a lot.

DailyAnime 16 DanMachi (Is it wrong to try to pick up girls in a dungeon?)

In a town with a dungeon at it's center, a boy joins a goddess's family. He seeks adventure, fame, and fortune in the dungeon. Within the monster-infested labyrinth he meets a girl and starts frantically trying to level up to impress her.

DanMachi is funny and has a lot of really attractive characters. It has the standard harem-type vibe to it but it doesn't get too much in the way of the bigger story. Because of how fun and cute it is I give it a 7/10.

change in routine

Due to the fact that I couldn't possibly keep up an anime every day indefinitely. I will post something anime related everyday but the anime of the day will be reserved for weekends and a few days a week. Today I'm taking a day off because I'm spending time with my sister and mom. Daily Anime will resume tomorrow with a weekend waifu

Daily Anime #15 Danganronpa (season 1)

Danganronpa is a "who-done-it" anime about a group of high school students trapped in a school asked to play a killing game. As they do their best to not play, some fall prey to the principal of the school's wishes and take part in the gruesome game.

Danganronpa was funny in a dark way and had many good moments. It is creepy and violent but overall a good anime. I would give season 1 a 8/10 for being good if a little lazy of the animation sometimes.

Top Two Worst Bad Guys

Shou Tucker is cruel, and a horrible father. Although he isn't a "villian" he is just a bad guy in general. From Full Metal Alchemist.

Nobuyuki Sugou is one of the most mentally messed up villains I have ever come across. There is no redeemable backstory or soft side, just true insanity. From, Sword Art Online.

Daily Anime #14 Princess Tutu

Princess Tutu is a fun fairy tale anime about a girl who goes to a ballet school and wants to be an amazing ballerina. This is difficult because she is a little clumsy but she has a secret power. Using this power, she is tasked with finding the pieces of a prince's heart, her true love.

Princess Tutu is a sweet little anime that is a lot more interesting and engaging than it sounds. A seemingly typical magical girl anime, it has a lot more going for it and the dance sequences are beautiful. Funny, sweet and a little clumsy, just like the main character, I girl Princess Tutu an 8/10 and recommend it to anyone who enjoys fairy tales.

Daily Anime #13 Tales From Earthsea (movie)

Tales from Earthsea is a Studio Ghibli movie about two travelers who stay in a home of a farmer on their journey. However, soon strange things begin to happen linked to an evil, longstanding foe of one of the travelers.

I loved this movie and think that, as one of the lesser known Studio Ghibli movies, it should be more well known. I give it a 9/10 for it's standard Ghibli rewatchablity and the lovely fantasy that comes with every movie from that studio. Although a little slow, it's story-line is engaging and worth checking out for everyone, especially Studio Ghibli fans.

Daily Anime #12 Akagami no Shirayukihime

Akagami no Shirayukihime is a fantasy adventure anime about an herbalist with bright red hair. After running away from her home town she meets a guy in the woods who she ends up becoming fast close friends with.

This anime has a slightly plain sounding description but is absolutely charming. The characters are lovable, the story-line is engaging and sweet, and the art work is beautiful. I give it a 10/10 because it very quickly became one of my favorite anime after only one episode.

Side Character Sunday #2 Renji Togashi

Renji Togashi is the head chef at the Japanese Inn in Hanasaku Iroha. He appears very manly but is shown to occasionally crack under pressure and have a softer side.

Daily Anime #11 Hanasaku Iroha

Hanasaku Iroha is an wonderful anime about a girl whose mother leaves suddenly and tells her to go live with her grandmother. Her grandmother runs a traditional Japanese Inn (ryoukan) and tells her that she needs to work there in order to stay.

Hansaku Iroha is probably my favorite anime. It is cute, funny, and has all the right components for an anime that almost anyone could love. Because of that, I give it a 10/10 and would tell anyone to watch it.

Top Two Anime I think are Under-watched

Hanasaku Iroha

Hanasaku Iroha is one of my favorite anime and it disappoints me that very few people have watched it. It is cute, funny, and fun.

Chihayafuru

Chihayafuru is an anime that people simply need to watch to understand how addicting and wonderful it is. The description itself can seem boring but it is not boring at all.

Weekend Waifu #2 Izumiko Suzuhara

Izumiko Suzuhara is a goddess medium from Red Data Girl who is shy just wants to be "normal." She tries her best but her powers as a medium cause her to often act strangely, especially around technology.
She is my waifu because of her cute shy girl personality. Also her lack of being "normal" makes her endearing and a heart-stealer.

Why I was gone this week

I apologize and thank everyone who stuck with the blog this week in my absence. I was in the hospital due to mental health concerns but am doing much better. If you want to know more or follow my recovery you can check out My Positivity Blog where I try my best to remain positive and focused on tomorrow.

Daily Anime #10 Air

The main character of Air is constantly moving, looking for "the girl from the sky", a legend passed down in his family. He ends up in a small town near the sea and meets a girl with a strange interest in him.

Air is a sad but funny anime that I think is under-represented in the "I feel like crying a little" genre. Most people I have met haven't watch this anime but it is definitely worth your time. I would give it a 7/10 for sure.

My Top Two Ridiculous Anime

Nichijou

Nichijou is full of plotless anime ridiculousness that never fails to make you groan or smile.

Dansei Koukousei no Nichijou

This is basically a boy version of Nichijou but both are equally gender-neutral when it comes to how enjoyable they are.

Daily Anime # 9 Blue Spring Ride

Blue Spring Ride is a school life anime about a girl who meets a boy in the rain and falls in love. He disappears during their middle school years but he returns for high school with a new name and they meet all over again.

Blue Spring Ride was a cute anime with some really funny moments and some that made me swoon and sigh. As a romance it is wonderful and I would give it a solid 6/10 due to the ending that leaves you wondering and wanting more.

I have returned. Thank you for waiting paitently.

Daily Anime #8 ReLIFE

It's me again, not the creator/owner of this blog. I'll hopefully only been filling for a little longer :) My daily anime choice of the day is...

ReLIFE is an anime about a 27 year old man who is struggling to keep a steady job, and when we first meet him he has just been cut off financially by his parents. As he is walking back home, sulking, he runs into a man who asks the main character if he would like the opportunity to change his life and start over. Not only does the main character reflect on his own life throughout the show, but helps the other characters do the same.

This anime is considered a school life slice of life. I didn't realize until now that all of the animes I have suggest so far happen to be school related. Anyway, I would give this anime a 9/10 because like with Silver Spoon, there are some themes in the show that can make it difficult to watch. I highly suggest this if you want a good laugh and some really fun characters.

Daily Anime #7 Kiznaiver

Hello again! Sadly, the usual blogger is still not able to make posts, but I have watched a lot of different anime than her. I hope my suggestions and ratings are just as useful to you :) Now on to the anime!

Image result for kiznaiver gif

Without giving away important plot points, Kiznaiver is about a group of high schoolers who all go to the same school and who are in the same class that join an experiment process that connects them all together. Through their "bond" they struggle with each others problems, and as time goes on, they discover more about the experiment and its history. Honestly, this anime is a little hard to describe without giving away anything, and not saying what My Anime List has already said.

I would give this anime a rating of 8/10 because though the animation is fabulous and the story is very interesting, there are definitely a few problems I have with it. Some things are left unsaid or I felt like not enough was explained, but those are my only complaints. If you like school life drama with a sci-fi twist, then Kiznaiver would be a great anime for you.

Daily Anime #6 Silver Spoon

Hello, the usual blogger is not able to make a post right now, but they still wanted to have a post up. So, here is a daily anime suggestion from me, not the usual blogger

Image result for Gin no saji gif

Silver Spoon is an anime that features a main character who transfers from an school in the city to a school to a very rural school, that also happens to be an agriculture school. This character is definitely a fish out of water here, and struggles at first. As the show goes on, the main character discovers more about himself and how the world is much more complicated than he thought.

This show is a slice of life that combines comedy and school life. It will leave you in tears whether you are laugh crying or actually crying. A bright side to this show is that if you don't know a lot about agriculture, you will definitely know more after finishing this show. I would rate this anime an 9/10 on this blogs scale, because some episodes are not meant for the light of heart, even though I would recommend this anime to anyone who would listen.

Daily Anime #5 Red Data Girl

Red Data Girl is an anime about a "goddess medium" who tries her hardest to be normal. This is made difficult by technologies strange reaction to her using it and her secluded lifestyle at a shrine. A boy is tasked to protect her but he doesn't believe she is a goddess and the two don't get along.

I would rate Red Data Girl a solid 7.5/10 for being beautiful created with a quaint story-line. It isn't perfect but it leaves you wanting a second season.

Top Two Beginner Anime

Soul Eater

This is actually the first anime I watched. It is great in that it has a compelling storyline with being a nice balance of funny, action and just enough anime tropes to get you into anime as a whole.

Ouran Highschool Host Club

I am not sure if I have met anyone, male or female, that hasn't loved Ouran Highschool Host Club. The ridiculous antics and varied characters make it enjoyable for almost anyone.

Top Two Anime that Always Make Me Smile

Amagi Brilliant Park

Funny with a little Ecchi and a hilarious cast of characters. Amagi never fails to make me chuckle.

No Game No Life

One of my routine "go to when I'm sad" anime, No Game No Life is engaging, beautiful, and extremely funny.

Daily Anime #4 Another

Another is a horror anime that follows a 9th grader who joins a class only to discover that it is supposedly haunted. As the series progresses he tries to get to the bottom of the so-called curse before it is too late.

As far as horror goes this is more bloody and unsettling than outright jump scares. I enjoy it both as a horror series and as an anime in general. It is easy to re-watch and still enjoy with beautiful artwork. I would give it a 10/10 on my  for being one of my personal favorites.

Side Character Sunday #1 Kenzou Kawahori

Kenzou Kawahori is a side character from the anime Another. He is a member of the haunted 9th grade class.

He seems to be loyal, sporty and a little impulsive but he get's very little screen time so his true personality is hard to discern.

Top Two Anime that Ripped at My Heartstrings

Erased (Boku Dake ga Inai Machi)

A "who done it" series that deals with heavy subjects such as abuse, abduction, murder, and suicide. Tore my heart out when I watched it but beautifully made and I would recommend to anyone who can handle the content.
My Anime List

Nagi no Asukara: A Lull in the Sea

A sweet fantasy school life that get's surprisingly sad very quickly. It deals with romance and friendship and the messiness that happens when you mix the two. Would recommend to anyone who needs a cry or loves a little fantasy in everyday life.
My Anime List

Top Two Anime That Made Me Cry

Clannad and Clannad After Story

Dry Humor, slow moving story but extremely emotional fantasy anime. Will make you smile, cry and fall in love with it.

Anohana

This slice of life about a depressed boy with pluck your heartstrings at moment one. The last few  episodes are the ones that will make you curl up in a ball.

Saturday Spotlight #1 Sore Ga Seiyuu

Sore Ga Seiyuu is an anime about three seiyuu (voice actors) trying to make it in the tough voice acting world in Japan. The three meet at an anime recording session where they all have a role and become fast friends through the highs and lows of their jobs.

This week's spotlight is Sore Ga Seiyuu because I feel it is underappreciated for what it is, a cute and engaging anime with adorable art work. I sincerely hope there is a second season because I can't get enough of the three main characters. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys slice of life, comedy, and cute artwork. If you are interested in voice acting this anime is very realistic and a great way to familiarize yourself with the world of voice acting.

Do you think this deserves to be in the spotlight? What do you think of this show? Let me know in the comments below!

Daily Anime #3 Rokka no Yuusha

In Rokka no Yuusha, a goddess chooses six heroes to fight a demon lord. The main character is "the strongest man in the world" and is chosen as one of these heroes. The story follows him and the princess of the city as they travel to find the others and save the world.

It is an interesting story with many unique and wonderful characters that I love whole-heartedly. However, the fiends or "demons" are in a strange style that is a little unsettling at first but not too horrible as you get used to it. I would give it a 7/10 for being a great story, setting, and characters but lacking a little smooth visual appeal.

Weekend Waifu #1 Fremy Speeddraw

Fremy Speeddraw is a character from Rokka no Yuusha. She specializes in guns, consequently being call the Saint of Gunpowder. She becomes close to the main character throughout the series despite her efforts to be a lone wolf.

She is my waifu because of her melancholy power-fullness. Her looks help but ultimately it is her sense of honor and loyalty that I find the most attractive.

Daily Anime #2 Plastic Memories

Plastic Memories is an adorable, sad anime about a guy who joins a company that deals with artificial intelligence that think and act as humans do. They have personalities and emotions which makes the fact that they live for only 9 years heart-breaking for all. This anime follows this new employee and his partner as they travel around retrieving robots near their lifespan from their homes.

This anime is beautiful, sad and has a important place in my heart. The characters are real and lovable but sometimes fleeting which is why I would definitely give is a 9/10 regardless of the slightly predictable plot.

Daily Anime # 1 Chihayafuru

Chihayafuru is a romance/school/slice of life anime about a girl who is obsessed (and very good at) the card game Karuta. She participates in multiple tournaments and tries to keep the club alive at her school all while dreaming of playing once again against her childhood friend and rival.

I loved this anime and really wish that there was a 3rd season. It takes a little to get into but once you are in you are hooked. I would rate it 8/10
