A book loving boy becomes a dog (literally) and is adopted by his favorite author. She can somehow read his mind but it soon turns out that she is sadistic and scissor obsessed, with all of her inspiration springing from bloody crime scenes. The boy (dog) has to constantly dodge her attacks while adjusting to his new life as a puppy.
Dog & Scissors is a weird nonsensical comedic show at best and an uncomfortable show at worst. Although the fan-service and gore aren't necessarily extreme, there are times when it starts to delve into the girl loving the main character (reminder...a dog) a bit too much and in the wrong way, some incesty parts, and, as you might have guessed by the character description above, a lot of S&M. Although the official rating is 13+ I wouldn't recommend it for anyone around that age and would suggest watchers be more in the mid-late high school range at the youngest. My personal rating is a 4/10 but some people have been known to like it.
